Check out the Day-for-Night solar dress which comprises of 448 white circuit boards with a twist – they can be swapped out for other tiles with different functions. For example, if you’re sick of wearing just solar cells, there are always photocells, RGB LEDs and even jumper connectors to choose from. The entire tech-wear is connected to a microcontroller that provides power. This same microcontroller also monitors all the tiles while transmitting data via radio frequencies. The designers have even thrown in a USB board on the dress that enables you to plug in your dress to a PC for further programming. I wonder which haute couture house will pick this up in their next collection. Too bad this dress has been making its rounds for nearly one and a half years now, but it is still cool to revisit.
