The Emily Clock does things differently by being attached sideways to the wall, so that you can tell the time simply by lying down without having to re-orientate your head. I guess this is one of those “Eureka!” moments that Greg Wolos experienced, coming up with something so simple yet practical, I’m surprised nobody else thought of it before (or maybe they did, but never got around publicizing it via the Internet). While the mounting process might leave some scars on your wall, at least you don’t have to lose those precious few seconds each morning as you try to read the time.
