Emtrace WidgetStation

[CES 2008] The Emtrace WidgetStation that you see here is definitely a looker – a fact confirmed by picking up the CES 2007 Innovations Award. This compact sized standalone device offers more than just an alarm clock function, as it is a Widget Player that brings to you real-time information as and when required, ranging from News to Entertainment, Photos, Webcam and more. There are different ways you can connect to the Internet with it – WiFi, Ethernet and PC. I think this is more of a novelty gadget than anything else, as basically whatever this can do has long been done by a computer. Still, if you want to pick this up, it will be available sometime after Q2 this year according to the good folks at Emtrace. No word on pricing details though. One thing’s for sure – just like the Emtrace Photoskins, this is a guaranteed fingerprint magnet.
