[CES 2008] What you see here is but a concept from Fujitsu based on e-paper technology. This display is worn on the wrist of the cashier for easy access. Whenever a customer approaches the cashier for information on a particular item, the cashier can quickly search through the shop’s inventory without having to refer the customer to yet another person in charge of a particular department. Sounds like it works particularly well for items such as clothing and furniture. A Fujitsu rep did mention that it will take a few more years before it is released on a commercial basis. As for power, Fujitsu says that their e-paper technology requires little power, and you can use CR1225 batteries to power it.
