Sharp has a couple of electronic dictionaries from its Papyrus line known as the PW-GT570 and PW-AT770, with the former coming in white, pink and blue while the latter has silver, black and red colors to choose from. Both of them share the following :-
- 5.5″ high resolution LCD monochrome display
- Backlit display for reading in the dark
- Secondary backlit touch screen display with handwriting recognition
- Support for Japanese, English, Chinese and Korean languages
- Text-to-speech engine with a vocabulary of over 50,000 words
Both of them are powered by a couple of AAA batteries that offer at best 120 hours of continuous use, but I think real life performance would be lower that quoted figure. The Sharp Papryus PW-AT770 and PW GT570 will hit Japan in January and February respectively.
