[CES 2008] Sony announced the Sony Ericsson W760 Walkman phone that will be available sometime in Q2 2008 for approximately $99 after an operator rebate and subsidies. You can pick from three colors then – Fancy Red, Rocky Silver and Intense Black. This tri-band HSDPA, quad-band EDGE slider handset comes with the following features :-
- Shake Control
- 2.2″ display
- Built-in motion sensor with accelerometer for tilt gaming
- Integrated stereo speakers
- 3.2 megapixel camera
- Memory Stick Micro media slot
Shake control and built-in motion sensor? If my memory serves me correctly, Sony did chide the Wii about their “gimmicky” controls, and here they are playing catch-up by implementing such controls on their handset while trying to tout this feature as something new in the market. Where’s the innovation, Sony?
