Toshiba has new 1.8″ hard drives that were previewed at CES 2008 which come in Carbon Grey, Hot Rod Red and Gecko Green. What’s it with these color schemes, where they don’t call a spade for what it is any more? You will be able to get them in 60GB, 80GB and 120GB versions that will come with backup and encryption software, while those who are looking for a little more space can always check out the 320GB model that retails for $199.99, although that one is a 2.5 incher. There is no word on pricing for the 1.8″ models as at press time, although a $100 price tag has been bandied about for the 120GB model. Tentatively, these hard drives are slated for a spring release.
