The Mind Chair is one mind blowing experience if the product description reads correctly – it apparently utilizes sensory substitution techniques that enable the sitter to perceive moving images right in their brain thanks to nerves in the skin acting as a mode of transport. I wonder what the feeling is like, sitting on one. I suppose that words are inadequate to express it, even if you’re a seasoned walking thesaurus. The Mind Chair will be made available to curious onlookers at the MoMA in New York as part of the Design and the Electric Mind exhibition.
