Looks like cell phone owners aren’t left out of the Second Life loop either, with Vollee planning on rolling out technology which makes it possible for Second Life to run on 3G handsets courtesy of Vollee’s streaming media service. Sounds like a pretty impressive feat, considering how Second Life is graphics intensive and requires a whole lot of streaming data. I’d say should this be made available on a large scale, you’d best sign up for an unlimited data plan unless you prefer to pay an insane amount when you receive your bill at the end of the month. Also, one would be prudent to carry phone chargers wherever you go since having a 3G connection on constantly will drain the handset’s batteries faster than we’re consuming petroleum from the Middle East.
