The Soft Phone concept is made up of a series of discs with electronic fabric stretched in between, allowing one to use a combination of tactile gestures like squeezing to hang-up. The fibers used are fine enough and optically clear, allowing light energy to pass through to display contextual menus that are simple to understand. Should you need to type a speedy text message, just unfurl the collapsible structure to reveal a QWERTY keyboard. Other elements of the Soft Phone like the antenna, battery, camera and micro-electronics are all stored within a tiny clip that is made of soft, squeezable, stress-reducing silica. Strange thing a receiver was included in this concept – hasn’t everyone moved on to wireless technology already even today?
