
Toshiba has decided to take the Intel Penryn route with its Satellite X205 and U305 notebooks, targeting both casual and the gaming crowd with more than enough processing power for their respective needs. The Satellite U305-S2816 is a slim notebook with top-grade business performance while the X205-SLi2 and X205-SLi4 variants are powered by an Intel Penryn 2.1GHz processor, a 17″ display, an integrated HD DVD/DVD burner (keeping the HD DVD flag flying eh), and dual 512 MB GeForce 8600M GT graphics controllers.The X205-SLi2 and SLi4 will retail for $1,999 and $2,499.99 upwards, respectively.
