The Wii Fit was not meant to be a replacement for a trip to the gym, according to Nintendo supremo Shigeru Miyamoto anyway. He did say, “I forgot to mention something important earlier: I don’t think Wii Fit’s purpose is to make you fit; what it’s actually aiming to do is make you aware of your body.” Being aware of my own body, eh? I suppose the warning signals are already there if I happen to drop my Wiimote on the floor and can’t see it due to a bulging beer belly. Remember folks – if you want to lose weight, buying video games is not the way to go. You’d best work on pounding the pavement or the treadmill at the gym instead.
