Asus Splendid HD1 Video Enhance Card

The Asus Splendid HD1 video enhance card touts to increase picture quality for HD content, delivering a more vivid colored visual output in sharper detail. Asus claims that the Splendid HD1 will even boost lower resolution inputs by “recovering image clarity when viewing legacy content for viewing on LCD TV or monitors”. In addition, you will also get true HDMI with audio and HDCP for a superior home entertainment experience. This sounds like a solution for folks who want to enjoy full HD entertainment in their homes without having to purchase a big screen HDTV but prefer to sit in front of their widescreen monitor instead.

Having an HDMI output is cool if your graphics card doesn’t, but I would not expect much improvements, if any, of the video. No idea on how much it costs.
