Asus Takes Bamboo Seriously With Concepts

Asus is toying with the idea of including bamboo as part of its construction material in these new concept products at CeBIT 2008. Some of these include a couple of bamboo laptops, a bamboo monitor and a bamboo-covered PC. I think these are nothing but fire hazards, as wood (technically bamboo is a grass…) is definitely much easier to catch fire from overheated laptop batteries compared to a standard plastic and metal case that we currently have.
