BenQ seemed to have missed the memo with its Joybook A53 that does not ship with any of the new Penryn processors, relying instead on a traditional Core 2 Duo T7250 processor to run the proceedings. Features include :-
- 512MB RAM(!)
- 80 to 200GB 5400RPM hard drive
- Dual-layer DVD writer
- 15.4″ WXGA (1,280 x 800) resolution display
- 3 x USB 2.0 ports
- VGA output
- Audio in/out
- Integrated Ethernet/WiFi
- 4-in-1 multicard reader
- 0.3-megapixel webcam
No idea on how much the Joybook A53 would cost, but judging by the specifications, your wallet should remain joyous after purchasing it.
