The Eco_Drop shower concept features concentric circles on the floor which will rise up should you spend more time than you should in the shower (and hence wasting more water), making sure that the discomfort your feet experience will send you to the nearest towel rack instead. I presume having the water supply cut off automatically would be a better idea, as those with rather thick soles might just continue bathing away without a care in the world.
