Back at CES 2008 earlier this year, I saw IBM folks lugging around display panels on their shirts in a marketing effort to capture the attention and imagination of people around. While it was interesting to look at, the fact remains that such a setup must be extremely tiring and unwieldy to the user. Perhaps a few years down the road we will be able to see clothes that are capable of showing a video, thanks to Philip’s ‘photonic textile’ that comprises of thin LEDs and a rechargeable battery pack. Video clips are shown by radiating various forms of lights.
