Segatoys, the Japanese toy company, who describes itself as “an entertainment innovator unconstrained by the conventional wisdom of the toy industry”, has released the HomeStar Pure a new version of the HomeStar Home Planetarium that costs half the price.Unlike the previous edition, this portable egg-shaped planetarium is powered by 4 AA batteries. It projects 10 000 stars on the ceiling and can be rotated manually to change the sky position.I would love to be able to plug this gadget to the WorldWide Telescope Website that Microsoft will be launching in the Spring!
