One of the MacBook Air’s weakest point is the fact that there is only one accessible USB port, leaving you to have an ugly USB hub connected to it should you want to hook up more than a single USB device. Rowan Pope has decided to literally take things into his own hands, finding out that the MacBook Air actually supports up to 7 other USB ports since it has a few live USB port connections already built into the Air itself thanks to documentation on the ICH-8 chip within. In total, Rowan managed to uncover three working USB connections and an unused SATA controller. I think I’ll stick to a standard USB hub, thank you very much.
