
NEC has just launched a new 7″ amorphous-silicon thin-film-transistor LCD module known as the NL8048BC19-02. This new display module comes complete with WVGA resolution and boasts a long-life white LED as the light source, capable of going up to 50,000 hours before giving up the ghost. In addition to having a longer life span, it also features low power consumption which is always a good capability to have in any electronic device. Other features include viewing angles of 160 degrees both horizontally and vertically, a contrast ratio of 1,000:1 and fast response time of 25 milliseconds.
