Japan will be getting their first Skype phone from Panasonic in the form of the KX-WP800. There is still no word of a Western release, but it ought to garner a fair bit of sales if brought westwards. Features include :-
- 55 hours of standby time
- 4.5 hours of talk time
- Connectivity to the FON network
- Bundled with 802.11b/g router
The Panasonic KX-WP800 retails for approximately £145, which is pretty pricey IMHO. Most homes running on a wireless network will already have a wireless router, so that bundle isn’t really necessary.
