Microsoft has discreetly restored its red version of the Zune 80, expanding the company’s Zune Originals customization service to include this model. Previously available as a Valentine’s Day model only, those who missed the boat the last time round can now pick up this crimson-colored hard drive-based portable media player. Is this Microsoft’s way of clearing out their inventory, or is it a generous gesture from them to make what was previously exclusive more accessible? No matter the real reason, $249 will snag you a device that comes with a 80GB hard drive, a 3.2″ display and WiFi connectivity.
