
Samsung has just rolled out a couple of flat panel displays of the 70″ and 82″ variety that feature Windows XP Embedded running within. These are meant to function as signage applications, with the only difference between the two being their display size, which will ultimately affect their weight as well. The 700DXn comes with a 70″ screen with 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, a 600-nit brightness rating, and a 5000:1 dynamic contrast ratio while the 820DXn has all that with a 3,000:1 contrast ratio. Some of the shared specifications include :-
- Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 1.8GHz processor
- Memory: 512MB DDR2 DRAM, 4GB flash memory
- Networking: Gigabit Ethernet (Marvell 88E0855)
- Other I/O: VGA input, BNC inputs, DVI, Composite video inputs, S-Video, HDMI, Component video inputs
There is no word on pricing as at press time, although they’re already available for sale.
