Samsung wants to claim glory for introducing the first 2.5″ hard drive in the world that boasts 500GB of storage space. This is made possible by using three stacked 167GB platters crammed into the standard 0.37″ vertical space that notebook hard drives use. Features include 5,400rpm spinning speed, an 8MB buffer and a 3Gbps SATA connection. This little wonder from Samsung will retail for $299.
