Apple Files Patent for Virtual Shopping Complex

Apple has recently filed a patent which could result in a virtual shopping complex where customers can shop and interact with everyone else in the world through the use of avatars. An interesting concept in the avatars include the different look for those with various statuses, where it is easy to differentiate between a first time shopper, an expert in a particular subject, or members of shop staff. They can also be tagged, where information concerning their area of expertise and actual geographical location can be shared with all and sundry. This concept looks more like a better looking version of Second Life and the myriad of virtual worlds out there rather than something practical – it might end up being a bigger time waster than Desktop Tower Defense.
