Canon’s Germany site showed the EOS 5D Mark II, at least for a short while before it was taken down. So far various forums have debated the authenticity of the screenshot, but who are we to say that Canon Germany’s webmaster made a mistake? After all, I wonder what all the speculation is about – can’t everyone just sit down and wait for an official release of new products, regardless of whether it is cameras, cell phones or consoles? I suppose if it makes one feel a little bit smug compared to the (wo)man on the street that one has knowledge of an upcoming iPod, then scouring company sites to catch screenshots like these is just the thing to indulge in.
