Intel has just introduced its new dual-core Celeron E1400 at 2GHz and Celeron 570 at 2.66GHz, retailing for $53 and $134 respectively. At that low, low price, it is amazing they can still turn a profit. Folks looking to build a budget machine that does nothing more than the most rudimentary of tasks will definitely find the new Celerons more than adequate for the tasks at hand. In other news, Intel also decided on some aggressive price cuts, reducing its Core 2 Quad Q6700 and quad-core Xeon X3230 prices by half. Now that’s a fire sale if I ever saw one – time to cobble together a brand new gaming rig at such an attractive price!
