
Jonas Samson has created light-emitting wallpaper from material and technology readily available.
“The back layer is a silver-based solution that conducts electricity, while the layer above this contains phosphorous pigments that light up. On top of this is a flexible, transparent ITO conductor layer, with regular wallpaper placed on top to act as the final, outwardly visual layer,”
You have to have a special interior to use it, but I’m sure that designers will find a way to create something stunning. Oh, the price? It’s all custom-made, so 6000 euros is a “starting price”.
