Guess cheap laptops are all the rage these days, with Microsoft teaming up with India’s HCL Infosystems to develop the cheapest Windows latop in the world. You will get sub-par hardware specifications such as a 30GB hard drive (bummer) with enough muscle to run Windows XP Home Edition while being capable of surfing the Internet via broadband. At $425 a pop, you can tell that a pretty hefty chunk of the price will go to the Windows license alone. Will the Eee PC start quaking in its boots just yet? I think not.
