You know what they say – if at first you don’t succeed, try again. Nokia will attempt to break into the Korean market, for the third time this time by supplying their handsets to SK Telecom shops by the end of the year. Nokia’s success in the Korean market will be something worth looking out for, considering it is the third largest market in Asia after China and Japan. Their last attempt resulted in a paltry 1% market share, which is a far cry to the units commanded by LG, Samsung, Pantech and Motorola. Perhaps Nokia’s newer handsets will be able to fare better this time round thanks to the universal W-CDMA platform which was introduced last year in Korea.
