Samsung has expressed its support for text messaging as the Korean company claims that family text messaging habits help cement the ties between parents and their children – especially teens. In a recent survey, more than half of the respondents claim that text messaging has positively impacted their relationship. The average teen sends and receives 455 and 467 text messages, respectively, each month, while the parent fares nearly five times less than their offspring. The same survey also found that 60% of parents claim it is their kids who help them become better texters. I guess I’m clearly out of the teen league considering I text an average of 5 messages per day.
