Sanyo has yet another waterproof camcorder for everyone to bring along to the pool this summer – the Xacti DMX-CA8. Features found on this new Xacti are :-
- 8 megapixel CMOS sensor
- 5x optical Zoom
- Face Chaser mode that does facial recognition even when underwater
- Compatible with JIS IPX5 and IPX8 Japanese standard
- Waterproof up to 1 hour underwater at 1.5m depth
- Records in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 at 60fps in VGA
No idea how much this would cost, but it looks like a great beginner device to get started if you’ve got a penchant for taking underwater shots.
