ViewSonic has released a new DLP projector known as the PJ513DB. This all-black unit packs in more Texas Instruments hardware that will be able to generate up to 2,200 lumens of brightness and a contrast ratio of 2,000 to 1. The resolution isn’t too impressive though at 800 x 600 resolution, but it is able to recognize larger resolutions via VGA, accepting up to 720p/1080i widescreen video as long as you have the relevant adapters like a bundled component adapter or third-party DVI attachments. If you happen to have $499 in your pocket right now, you will be able to pick up the 5.7 pound ViewSonic PJ513DB.
