Windows XP SP3 at Manufacturers Now

Microsoft has made available its Windows XP SP3 to manufacturers, signaling the fact that it ought to arrive at OEM and enterprise customers’ doorsteps pretty soon. Whoever picks up vendors who sell XP-powered machines will probably get those with SP3, while ordinary folk like you and I who have resisted the jump to Vista will be able to download Windows XP SP3 from Windows Update this April 29th, making it the final version before Microsoft pulls the plug on XP and concentrates their efforts on Vista. Hopefully the rumored speed enhancement will be reality instead of just hearsay.
