Imaging watching shows on a TV that is capable of displaying 16 times the resolution of today’s HDTV in full color. I think my mind (and eyes) can’t comprehend the situation at this point in time since HD shows on the TV are already extremely impressive. This idea of a super high resolution color TV could be a possibility though with the introduction of a 33 megapixel image sensor that is capable of pumping out a whopping 7,680 x 4,320 pixels – the equivalent of 16 tiled HDTV displays. Good luck trying to record an hour’s worth of video at such high resolutions – you’ll probably need terabytes upon terabytes of space for that.
