Acer jumps into the hardcore gaming arena with its Aspire Predator gaming rig that features a mean looking design that will definitely invoke the feeling as though they were trying to emulate the Alienware brand, complete with the necessary curves and grills. The front portion of the chassis can be raised to reveal a rewritable DVD and Blu-ray optical drive, while USB and audio ports mounted on top are accompanied by a multi-memory card reader. The Acer Aspire Predator guards against disk failure with NVIDIA MediaShield Storage technology and RAID 0, 1, 5, 1+0 modes. It will be powered by the highly overclockable Intel Core 2 Extreme quad-core processor with 1333MHz FSB, with the ability to cater for 3-way SLI on its motherboard. Other features include an advanced liquid cooling system, a multimedia keyboard with illuminated keys, a gaming mouse and EAX 4.0 support for the best gaming audio experience.
