Atari Family Trainer

Are fitness games mere fads that companies are trying to capitalize on these days? Apparently so, as Atari will be releasing a new Wii game known as Family Trainer. Just like Wii Fit, this title aims to encourage users to be active in “wildly entertaining activities”. Unfortunately for gamers who want to play this, they will probably have to fork out a premium for it as Atari will include its own version of Nintendo’s Balance Board controller. Don’t you think there are already too many peripherals for consoles these days? Sure the Wii might be small, but with Guitar Hero, Wii Fit and Mario Kart Wii, those will take up a fair bit of space already in your living room. I hope Atari will scrap their idea of a separate peripheral and just stick to what’s available.
