Word has it that RIM is working on a clamshell BlackBerry phone, and has been christened Kickstart – perhaps this is an omen of things to come where Apple’s iPhone supremacy is concerned? This flipping phone is said to tout a Suretype keyboard (bound to keep those business suits happy), a pearlish trackball, a tiny external LCD display that shows the most relevant information on-the-fly, an internal LCD screen and a camera. Other than that, no further specifications have been given but it will probably give the iPhone a run for its money where push email on a handset is concerned.
