Don’t you just love it when the old meets the new? Case in point – Daniel Soltis’s Moving Parts project which is a “two-player hybrid physical/video pinball game that uses variations in game rules to elicit different social interactions between players.” Digital pinball on a wooden table? I’m all game. This is no ordinary pinball game, however, as you will be able to pit your reflexes against an opponent at the other end of the table in “competitive” mode by trying to sink his ball, while the two of you can actually work together in a co-ip mode while trying to keep the balls in play as long as possible. I like the way the entire hybrid form factor has been done – excellent job, Daniel! The only thing missing now would be a slot for quarters.
