Emtec’s gdium EM-PC mini laptop might be touted to be an Asus Eee PC competitor, but it surely has its own merits by not following the Eee PC’s design, and has a much larger display (8.9″ 1,024 x 600 resolution) that will be easier on your eyes in the long run. Other features include flash-based storage (unknown capacity) and a webcam, all powered by a Linux-based OS. It will arrive in Australia this July, retailing for approximately AUD$449 (that’s $420 in greenbacks). Choices, choices – can’t live with them, can’t live without them.
