The almighty FCC has just given their nod of approval to the new Sidekick aslo known as the Sharp PV210. A quick look at the test reports confirm that this new Sidekick won’t come with 3G connectivity – news that is bound to disappoint a fair number of people. I guess an FCC approval is often followed closely by a product announcement and subsequently, release, so we ought to be able to see a new Sidekick hit the relevant marketing channels pretty soon. I’m still peeved about the lack of 3G connectivity – this clearly puts it at a disadvantage against other smartphones in the market.
