
Soon, AT&T’s LaptopConnect mobile broadband subscribers will be able to gain access to its Wi-Fi Home package of U.S. hotspots for free, which means they will be able to surf without forking out an additional cent at approximately 17,000 domestic hotspots including 9,500 McDonald’s restaurants and 7,000 Starbucks outlets. Of course, this privilege is extended only to those who fork out a $60 monthly fee with a 2-year commitment, shackled by a 5GB cap combined upstream and downstream data monthly.
