Fujitsu engineers are currently working on a graphics adapter which offers a plug-in visual upgrade to ultra portable and budget notebooks. Dubbed the AMILO GraphicBooster, it allows one to access the benefits of a superior video chipset without having to carry a larger system around, while saving battery life when you need it by unplugging the box and relying on integrated graphics instead. It will rely on AMD’s ATI Radeon chipsets to achieve a superior performance curve for those who are on a tight budget and yet want to get some portable gaming in between waiting times at the airport or during a rush hour commute. There is no word on pricing or availability as at press time.
