Fujitsu Siemens’ new notebook is the Amilo Xi2550 that claims to “present entertainment without constraint”. Inside, you’ll find the following specifications to back up such a claim.
- Intel Core 2 Duo processor up to T9300
- Up to 4GB RAM
- Up to 640GB hard drive
- ATI HD 2700 graphics card
- Intel PRO/Wireless 4965AGN chipset
- 17″ display at 1920 x 1200 resolution
- Remote control
- Optional Blu-ray drive
With a 17″ display, this will surely run out of juice pretty fast, especially when you pop in Blu-ray discs or DVDs. For long haul trips where readily available power outlets are uncertain, I would prefer to rely on something with a longer lasting battery life like the iPod.The Amilo Xi2550 will retail from 1500 Euros upwards.
