Intel Atom Goes Dual Core

Rumors are swirling concerning a new range of dual core Intel Atom processors that will hit the market by year end. Apparently this new processor is known as the Atom 330, featuring a rumored Thermal Design Power (TDP) rating of 8W that is way higher than the current single core Atom 230 that stands at a mere 2W. Sources have it that the Atom 330 will run at a maximum clock speed of 1.6GHz – similar to the single core Atom 230, featuring 533MHz FSB and 1MB of cache. We surely live in interesting times…
