Don’t get all too excited just yet as Iomega prepares a new portable hard drive that is able to store up to 1TB worth of data, although it will come in the 3.5″ form factor, dousing whatever little hope the 2.5″ community has for such a revolution. Dubbed the Super eGo, these new drives will come in blue, red and black colors – pretty gloomy shades if you ask me. What’s even worse other than the lack of more colors to choose from is the fact that the Super eGo relies only on USB 2.0 connectivity, ruling out FireWire or eSATA options. The plus point to this new hardware? It’s $270 price point which is pretty worth it considering how much space you’re getting in return.
