MWg’s recent roadmap presentation threw up an interesting prospect to observant attendees – apparently Q4 2008 will be an exciting time as the first crop of Windows Mobile 7 devices will be released then. Doesn’t make much sense when you realize that the timeline between version 6.1 and 7 is extremely short, but perhaps Microsoft could be getting desperate as they try to gain more foothold in the mobile device market, especially with Apple’s 3G iPhone due this year? The Windows Mobile 7 devices in question will be the MWg Flame II, the MWg Atom IV and the MWg Vix.
