Guess there won’t be an Intel Atom-based Apple tablet after all, as Intel spokesman Mike Cato stating that German chief Hannes Schwaderer’s comments were taken out of context. According to Cato, Intel has faith that the iPhone is representative of a new kind of platform known as Mobile Internet Device (MID) which coincidentally is being marketed by Intel as well. The Atom is tipped to be the beating heart of most MIDs, although there are no plans to include it in any Apple product at this point in time. Well, there goes all home – for the moment, anyways.
