Nyko Charge Base 360 Ships

The Nyko Charge Base 360 has started to ship to stores, offering an alternative charging solution for the Xbox 360 that features a drop-in charging and storage solution for up to a couple of wireless controllers, making this a first charging solution of its kind in the world. Sounds like the more efficient charging method compared to USB as well as disposable batteries that will definitely add up in the long run (not to mention the environmental impact). Each Nyko Charge Base 360 features two custom NiMH rechargeable batteries that have special contact points, making it a snap for controllers to be dropped into the Charge Base 360 without removing the battery packs. Fully charged, each controller will be able to provide up to 25 hours of non-stop gaming – or so it is claimed. The Nyko Charge Base 360 will retail for $34.99 a pop, and if you’re quick enough you will be able to pick up 200 limited edition units in a Black and Gold color scheme from June 2nd onwards.
