Since the XO laptop from OLPC is pretty successful, it makes perfect sense to come up with a second generation device dubbed the XO 2.0. This model will be much smaller compared to its predecessor, and features a foldable e-book form factor. Being just half the original’s size, you will find dual indoor-and-sunlight displays that provide both a right and left page in vertical format, a hinged laptop in horizontal format as well as a flat, dual screen continuous interface whenever you want to use it in tablet mode. Power consumption has been reduced to a mere 1 watt – talk about amazing! The XO 2.0 is still a long way off in coming though, as it will be released sometime in 2010.
